Running your Event (Event Hub)

Add tracks & parallel sessions

Last updated: September 2026 · ~5 min read
In short: Group sessions into tracks that run in parallel, and nest sub-sessions under a parent, so a multi-stream programme stays clear on both the event website and the app.

Before you start

Have at least a few sessions created first, see Build your event schedule & sessions. Tracks are how you run multiple sessions at the same time without confusing anyone.

Steps

  1. Create your tracks

In Schedule settings, add your tracks, for example Product, Growth, and Technical, and give each a colour so it’s easy to tell apart on the website and app.

  2. Assign sessions to a track

When you create or edit a session, set its track. Sessions in different tracks scheduled at the same time appear side by side as parallel streams.

  3. Nest sub-sessions under a parent

Turn a session into a parent and add sub-sessions beneath it, ideal for a workshop with breakouts or a track with lightning talks. Attendees can expand the parent to see what’s inside.

Parent and sub-sessions keep a dense programme readable: the top level stays scannable, and the detail is one tap away.
  4. Give each stream a room

Assign a room per track so simultaneous sessions don’t clash. Eventira warns you if two sessions share a room at the same time.

  5. Preview the multi-track view

Check the parallel columns on the event website and in the app. Attendees can browse by track and build a personal agenda that spans several tracks.
