Import attendees, speakers & sponsors in bulk
Before you start
You’ll need a role that can manage the event (Owner, Admin, or Event Manager, see Invite your team & set roles) and your list ready as a spreadsheet. Eventira accepts .xlsx and .csv files. Each record type has its own template, so grab the right one for what you’re importing.
Steps
-
Open the People area and choose Import
In the Event Hub, open People and select the tab for what you’re adding, Attendees, Speakers, or Sponsors. Click Import in the top right.

-
Download the matching template
Click Download template. Each template has exactly the columns Eventira expects, with required fields marked. Keep one row per person or organisation, and don’t rename the header row.
Required columns are usually Name and Email for attendees and speakers, and Company and Tier for sponsors. Everything else is optional and can be added later. -
Fill in your data
Add your rows in the spreadsheet. For speakers you can include a bio, session, and a photo URL; for sponsors, a tier and a logo URL. Leave optional cells blank if you don’t have them yet, every record stays editable after import.
-
Upload and map the columns
Back in the Import dialogue, upload your file. Eventira auto-matches your columns to its fields; check the mapping and fix anything marked Unmapped using the dropdown next to each column.

-
Review, resolve duplicates, and confirm
Eventira shows a preview and flags duplicates (matched by email) and invalid emails before anything is saved. Choose whether to skip or update duplicates, then click Import. Large files import in the background, you’ll get a summary when it finishes.
